WELCOME or “SELO SELO DI BIAGE” to the Kokoda Track from Kokoda Holidays.

The Kokoda track is a 96km jungle path which traverses the rugged Owen Stanley ranges dividing the Papua New Guinea mainland into north and south.(see map) It is recognised as one of the world’s great treks and was the scene of some of the major land battles of the Pacific theatre of World War 2. (see History)

It is a trek for fit and committed walkers and in recent years has become ever more popular for those seeking an adventure to remember. A fascinating history is set among rugged mountain ranges, swift flowing streams, spectacular mountain passes and thick jungle. Birdlife and beautiful flora abounds. The track is dotted with the traditional villages of the friendly Koiari and Orokaiva people. We welcome visitors and love to share our culture and hospitality with passers by.

Welcome again, please explore our site and we hope to show you some of our local PNG hospitality. We hope to give you the trip of a lifetime.
