The Kokoda Trail is one of the World’s great treks, linking the southern and northern coasts of Papua New Guinea. It was the scene of one of the defining battles of the Pacific theatre of World War 2 when vastly outnumbered Australian forces held back a larger and better equipped contingent of Japanese troops aiming to reach Port Moresby along the Kokoda Track.
